In 2017, a friend asked me to paint a fishing fly to include in a book he was writing. A couple of months later I presented him with a stack of thirteen paintings of the fishing flies he had given me, and which now grace the pages of his latest book, Trout School Lessons from a Fly-Fishing Master By Mark Hume With Mo Bradley, Forward by Claire Hume, Art by Nana Cook, Published by Greystone Books Trout School Lessons from a Fly-Fishing Master
In 2013 I had the opportunity to travel to historic Barkerville, B.C. to become Theatre Royal's first artist in residence. The following year I returned with an exhibit of paintings depicting the gold-rush town and some of its familiar faces. Giclee' reproductions of the paintings were sold with all the proceeds going to Barkerville and Theatre Royal. In the years since my first visit I have contiuned to paint the beautiful mountain town and the fascinating, talented and devoted individules who bring it to life.
